Assistant Accountant - Aga Khan Foundation

The Aga Khan foundations is a private  non- denominational development agency
promoting creative and effective solutions to selected problems that implied social and economical development in parts of Africa, and Asia AKF-Tanzania is a part of the east Africa regional structure that supports programmed in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, . AKF is managing the a robust and expanding portfolio and mulit-sectiaol initiative that include programmed in rural economic development educations health nutrition early childhood development and civil society strengthen
AKF is looking for the dynamic and skills professional who can take on the role of accounts for the AKF Dar es Salaam Office.  This position will report to the financial accountant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
§     processing payment including review of supporting document for reasonability and completeness
§     accurate data entry into the financial information system and timely filling of all financial documents
§     cash management including bank balance and petty cash monthly bank and petty cash reconciliations cash replenishment and review of petty cash requests
§     perform  all bank agent duties
§     raise receipt for cash received and deposit
§     timely preparations reconciliations payment and submission of various statutory obligations
§     management of staff and accountability

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
§     a diploma /advanced diploma in accounting or equivalent professional qualifications
§     a minimum 1 year experience preferably with a development agency or non government organizations
§     familiar with an expertise in ISCALA would be added advantage
§     computer literacy with ability to command excel
§     good spoken and written English
