VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

 The Ariel Glaser Pediatric AIDS Healthcare Initiative (AGPAHI), an affiliate of Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Organization (EGPAF) is Tanzanian led and managed national organization focusing largely on HIV and AIDS and other related health programs. AGPAHI implements all its programs in collaboration with Tanzania Government Entities through the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MoHCDGEC) and President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PO RALG) and other stakeholders. AGPAHI supports the provision of high-quality HIV and other health services and ensures that efforts are well-integrated into existing regional and district health systems.

AGPAHI is implementing various projects that are highly demanding and thus the organization is looking for a motivated, result driven, qualified and competent staff to feel various positions as per the AGPAHI organogram 

PURPOSE The Ariel Glaser Pediatric AIDS Healthcare Initiative (AGPAHI) intends to recruit several positions in the organization. The successful candidates will lead the different components of the organization with the aim of achieving the organizations’ mission and vision and specific project goals and objectives. 

Job Title:  IT officer
Duty Station:             Dar es Salaam  
Responsible to: Support Service Manager
Technical Supervisor:  Senior IT Officer

Purpose of post IT technical support officers maintain the computer networks/systems of the organizations by ensuring that they run smoothly and providing technical support and advice to computer/system users.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

Technical Support:
  Provide Information Technology technical support to all AGPAHI staff within and out of the office including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  Installing  and configuring computer hardware and applications
    Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks, identify and solve problems encountered by user’s systems and ensure the maintenance of the systems.
  Perform Installation, configuration and maintain office business systems and applications.
 Create and manage user profile on active directory, and enterprise systems.




Equipment & System Management
 Development of IT plans to guide the replacement of existing hardware/software applications and introduction of new technology
 Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
  To liaise with ISP by ensuring internet is up to 99.9% and reporting any downtime.
  Perform any other duty as requested by line manager

Required Qualifications 
 Holder of Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Communication Technology or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institution with at least three years working experience 
 Good experience on windows servers, CISCO and Cyberoam appliances
 Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
 Ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere.
