CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
International Workshop on Infection Prevention and Control 2017 brings together a unique and
International mix of Clinicians, Nurses, Scientists, Researchers, Environmental Health specialists from
Ministries of Health, hospitals, universities and research institutions making the conference a perfect
platform to share experience, foster collaboration and evaluate emerging approaches and technologies
across the globe. You are invited to contribute to the latest advances in the prevention of healthcareassociated
infections and control of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) by submitting an abstract to IWIPC
2017.

Venue: Arusha, Tanzania
Organizers: National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR), Infection Control Africa Network (ICAN)
and the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MoHCDGEC)

SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT
Abstracts should be submitted by the deadlines for consideration. Acceptance and mode of presentation of
abstracts will be determined by the Conference Organizing Committee. Authors of accepted abstracts will
be required to submit full papers which will be peer reviewed for publication in the conference
proceedings. The abstract should have the following structure: Title of the abstract, authors’ names and
institutional affiliations (list multiple affiliations one below the other) and mark each with a superscript “1”
“2”. Provide Background, Objective, Methods, Findings and Conclusion. Mark the name of the
corresponding author with an asterisk (*). Provide Email address of the corresponding author. An abstract
must not exceed 300 words using Times New Roman 12. Abstract submission deadline: 30th July 2017,
23h59 EAT

Ministries of Health, Health Institutions, Academia, Industries, Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and
Medical Suppliers are invited to display their promotional materials and products at a fee of US$ 600 per
10m2 or a portion thereof.
