JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose of the position:
Support Grants Finance Manager to ensure that grants and HO based projects are managed and implemented in line with World Vision policies and donor requirements.
Communicate World Vision’s Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.
Roles and Responsibilities
Monitoring of projects budgets to ensure proper charging of projects expenses and spending as per approved budget. This include HO based projects.
Conduct periodic project/partner visit for financial review and capacity building in finance management. Assisting in reviewing partners reports and posting them into the system on time.
Participate in proposal budget development in line with donor requirements and partnership guidelines. Facilitate preparation, review and submission of budgets for ongoing projects.
Analyze all grants Audit Reports and spot key finding recommendations to ensure that they are adequately addressed.
Facilitate timely preparation, review and submission of financial reports. Facilitate closure of phasing out projects and year end closing.
Assist in ensuring grants compliance including BPS and EPLS and proper CAL allocation as per diverse donor requirements.
Ensure monthly timesheets/LDRs are filled and approved for program support staff and payroll reconciliation is done in a timely manner for projects where program support costs are charged as direct costs.
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
Minimum Qualification required: Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
Experience: 3 yrs in Financial Management.
Preferred: CPA.
Technical Skills & Abilities:
Excellent computer skills in Excel & Sun-systems software.
Demonstrated ability in supervision.
Experience in managing donor funds.
Working knowledge of Sponsorship and grants operations, finance services and practices is an added advantage.
Good planning and organizational skills.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and public.

Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
Perform other duties as required.
Working Environment / Conditions:
Work environment: Office-based with frequent travel to the field.
Travel: 20% Domestic travel is required.
On call: 10%.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose of the position:
Provide technical support and coordinate the implementation and integration of Health and Nutrition programs by ensuring that mult-sectoral approach is employed and enhance mainstreaming into community programs as per approved technical programs and approaches, policies, systems, procedures and donor requirements.

Major Responsibilities.

Strategic engagement:
Coordinate the initiation, implementation and evaluation of Health, Nutrition and HIV&AIDS programs as well as developing a grant tracking system as per WVT and donor standards.
Ensure integration and implementation of Health, Nutrition and HIV&AIDS programs and projects
Review and update the Health, Nutrition and HIV&AIDS strategy and Annual operation plans.
Identify and develop best practices and share lessons learnt with WV entities and partners
Promote participation of children and women in Health, Nutrition and HIV&AIDS programming
Conduct Operation Research on WVT field work to contribute to Health, Nutrition and HIV&AIDS programming Knowledge and skills.
Resource mobilization
Engage in concept papers/proposal writing for fund raising.
Continuously access, research, evaluate and promote best practices and resources in Health, Nutrition and HIV&AIDS interventions.
Ensure that all aspects of the project development, funding concepts and proposals are accurate and professionally prepared.
Reporting
Coordinate development and submission of Health and Nutrition finance and progress reports to Technical Program Leader.
Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly activities reports.
Business Relationships and Networking.
Networking with other organizations to implement and document best practices to promote WVT learning
Work with other sector specialist within and outside WVT to implement a Health and HIV&AIDS learning system to document, assess, share and replicate.
Financial and non-Financial resource management
Manage the WVT material and financial resources to ensure Stewardship and accountability in the Program Development Division.

Provide spiritual support to staff of the division and reinforce the Core Values to enable understanding of WV operations and culture

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
Minimum Qualification required:
Master’s Degree in Public Health or other Health Sciences with 10 years practical experience in Public health including HIV/AIDS with a reputable organization
Experience: At least three years experience in program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Health and HIV&AIDS programs
Preferred:

Training, facilitation and coordination skills
Proposal/concept papers development for fund raising
Research, monitoring and evaluation skills
Needs assessment and report writing skills
Experience in developing successful, community-based Health, Nutrition and HIV&AIDS programs
Ability to build partnerships/networks with other stake holders
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A strong aptitude for organizational change, participatory and servant leadership, innovation, learning, team building
Keen sense of justice and gender equity
Working knowledge of child sponsorship as a programming and support mechanism.
Full ability to communicate cross-culturally and be cross-culturally sensitive.
