Comprehensive
Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) is Tanzania’s largest local
provider of disability and rehabilitation services in the country. We’re
committed to not only empowering people with disabilities and their families,
improving
their quality of life, and ensuring access to medical and rehabilitative
treatment, but crucially, preventing disabilities wherever possible.
Our
busy eye department is visited by hundreds of patients every week, and we treat
a large number of patients of all ages with vision problems.
Are you the person we’re looking for to
play a key role in our Nursing Department as a enior Registered Nurse
The role
As
a Senior Registered Nurse at CCBRT, your key role will be to provide advanced
clinical nursing care in the Eye OPD unit, assist doctors during minor medical
procedures and ensure quality service delivery. You will be accountable for maintaining
a safe working
environment
while adhering to all SHE procedures, with participation in the development of clinical
protocols and procedures, as well as ensuring that noise levels in the Eye OPD
are
controlled and the atmosphere is calm and quiet .
You
will also take on responsibility for organising departmental meetings, supervising
the ordering of equipment and medical supplies required, controlling and
handling stock, procurement and mentorship/supervision of junior nurses.
The candidate
Will
have either
·A n ursing diploma
with either3 -4 years’ general training or a diploma in midwifery and
psychiatric nursing with 6-12 years’ experience, or;
·A Degree with 3 -5
years’general, midwifery or psychiatric nursing training, and eadership
training with 3-6 years’ experience,or;
·A Master’s degree with
less than 4 years’ experience
·Registration with the
Nurses’ Council of Tanzania
·A high level of
computer literacy
·Good communication
skills
·A team player
attitude
·A track record of
patient service excellence
·Ophthalmic technician
knowledge is an added advantage
