TITLE: PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER

REPORTING:  DIRECTOR OF MARKETING & PUBLIC RELATIONS

The Public relations Officer will be responsible for handling all aspects of planned publicity campaigns and PR activities.

Other tasks include:

§     Planning publicity strategies and campaigns

§     Writing and producing presentations and press releases

§     Dealing with enquiries from the public, the press, and related organizations

§     Organizing promotional events such as press conferences, open days, exhibitions, tours and visits

§     Speaking publicly at interviews, press conferences and presentations

§     Providing clients with information about new promotional opportunities and current PR campaigns progress

§     Analyzing media coverage

§     Commissioning or undertaking relevant market research

§     Liaising with clients, managerial and journalistic staff about budgets, timescales and objectives

§     Designing, writing and/or producing presentations, press releases, articles, leaflets, ‘in-house' journals, reports, publicity brochures, information for web sites and promotional videos.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:     

§     A bachelors or masters in the communication field are preferred.

§     A background in design – preferably web and digital experience driven

§     Superior written / verbal communication skills

§     Persuasive, fact-based, and articulate with superlative collaboration skills

§     Strong sense of urgency combined with close attention to detail

§     Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities seamlessly within a fast paced setting

§     Tenacious protector of brand and quality standards

§     Strong customer service skills.

§     Expert-level organizational skills

§     Strong prioritization and time-management skills

§     The ability to solve problems and get results

§     An open decision-making process that welcomes input from others

§     An overall positive disposition

A Bachelors or Masters in the communication field are preferred.

Minimum of five (3) years experience in a related field.
