Position: Technical Director

Reports To:Group Managing Director & CEO

Duty Station:Dar Es Salaam

Role Purpose Of The Statement

The technical director is responsible and accountable to the group managing director and chief executive for the day to day operations and activities of the technical department. His primary duties is to plan and timely provide serviceable to aircraft for commercial purpose in accordance with the relevant airworthiness requirements and company aspirations

QUALIFICATIONS

§     7 Years airline engineer experience which must be in a senior position

§     Good understanding of technical stores aircraft workshop, aircraft productions engineering quality technical services and propulsion systems

§     Commitment to achieve even under several pressure

§     Good negotiating skills

§     Information’s technology literacy

§     Good work ethic that is reliable,, honest and committed

§     Attended management course and seminars

§     A license maintenance engineer with appropriate airframe power plant and avionics rating

§     University degree in aeroutical/mechanical or electrical engineering as an added advantages

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

§     Develop and maintain internal relationship to ensure a detailed understanding of all precision our needs so that engineer can deliver coast effective support

§     Train and develop staff the highest caliber and capability to deliver the airlines needs

§     Develop and implement safety management system

§     Is a member of air safety review board MBM Management Review meeting  and chairman to the maintenance safety group and should attend all ASRB and MSG Meetings

§     Ensure high level of safety as achieved in the organizations

§     The person responsible for maintenances is responsible to the CO for the coordination’s of maintenance

§     Execution – effectiveness and efficient
