Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) GIFF ACT Adolescent Project will provide technical leadership and overall management for the implementation of the CIFF ACT Adolescent Project. The SPM will be responsible for implementation
of project goals and objectives, and will provide overall strategic and
programmatic direction to the project, in close collaboration with the Ministry
of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children
(MoHCDGEC) especially the RCH section and NACP, AGPAHI and EGPAF
technical staff. S/he must have a demonstrated understanding of and
experience working with Adolescent and Youth Friendly Health Services
including those living with HIV.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation and monitoring of the CIFF ACT Adolescent activities at all levels (national to facility level). The project will support national level technical assistance to the MOHCDGEC as well as direct facility support to 50 sites in 11 districts. The SPM will also be responsible for ensuring the project's sub grantee activities are on track and of high quality. Illustrative activities include, but are not limited to:
• Oversee a baseline assessment of the readiness to implement adolescent/youth-friendly health services (AYFHS) at 50 selected sites;
• Plan and conduct trainings for service providers and youth peer educators;
• Lead the review and revision of the existing National Guidelines and Standards for AYFHS, and coordinate the orientation of the stakeholders on the revised guidelines;

• Facilitate the development of standards of care for adolescents living with HIV, coordinate workshops:

Required Qualifications
• Graduate degree in health sciences
• Master's in Public Health or other relevant Master's degree is an advantage
• At least five years of proven project management and implementation of health programs, with preference to experience in adolescent health/HIV programming
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Demonstrated understanding/experience in adolescent HIV prevention, care, treatment and support, especially adolescent and youth friendly health services;
• Understanding of and experience developing and sustaining working relationships with MoHCDGEC/NACP/RCH and health management teams;
• Experience with guidelines and training package development;
• Demonstrated experience managing donor funded projects;
• Proven experience in conducting assessments and demonstrated ability to analyze and use data;
• Demonstrated experience in organizing and facilitating meetings and report writing;
• Knowledge of PEPFAR program and MoHCDGEC reporting requirements, data collection and reporting tools;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (English and Kiswahili);
• Proficiency in basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, power point,
Outlook;
• Self-managed, proactive, organized individual;
• Dedicated team player with ability to work as a part of a multidisciplinary team

Job Summary
The Training and capacity building Coordinator is a self-motivated and committed individual who will be responsible to oversee and coordinate implementation of Training and Capacity Building activities within EGPAF Tanzania. The coordinator will oversee the overall planning, implementation and monitoring of capacity building activities and innovatively advice and lead approaches aiming at improving the human resource capacity of EGPAF staff and districts, In order to be successful in this role, the incumbent will be required to work with various team at country office, HQ staff, travel and meet regularly with field and districts staff for providing TA that might be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinated and lead implementation of project training and capacity building related activities planned for EGPAF and government partners.
• Provide technical assistance in harmonizing training activities of various partners including RHMTs, CHMTs and other IPs to ensure they are conducted in accordance with the Tanzania Policy Guidelines, and Standards performance gaps of EGPAF and districts staff and collaborate with the teams to develop capacity building plans
• Solicit and share updated materials and information related to national guidelines, policy, SOPs from the MOHCDGEC and other related government entities and disseminate to EGPAF staff
• Collaborate with the MOHCDGEC to support planning and implementation of BRN initiative
• Provide TA to EGPAF teams to be able to support RHMTs/CHMTs to develop capacity building activities and districts priorities that will need to be integrated into CCHPs
• Perform other relevant program related duties as assigned by the 'supervisor.

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

MD, AMO or RN with 2-5 years of experience working in RCH, HIV/AIDS programs and international health.
At least 2 years of proven project management experience in the design, administration, management and implementation of health programs in Tanzania, including supervision and reporting Masters in Public Health or other Masters would be an advantage. Essential

Skills and Knowledge:
Skills and knowledge in program sustainability, capacity building, quality of care assessment and assurance tools.
Knowledge and Skills in Adult Learning and on HIV prevention and care, particularly on MTCT, is required.
• Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills.
• Energetic, pro-active, independent and self-motivated
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while working as part of a team.
• Experience in Project Management.
• Good knowledge of basic IT skills_ (email, Internet, Word, etc.).
