Asasi ya Uwezeshaji Tanzania - ASUTA working in partnership with Jhiepigo under the Sauti Program is a USAID-funded initiative to improve the health of all Tanzanians through a sustained reduction in new HIV infections in support of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania. Sauti uses vulnerability-tailored evidence-based interventions to bring high-quality HIV prevention, HIV adherence support, and family planning promotion and service delivery to key and vulnerable populations KVPs) in selected regions of mainland Tanzania.
In each region, mobile Community-Based HIV Testing and Counseling “Plus” (CBHTC+) teams will deliver a package of outreach services that. Includes HIV testing and counseling linkages to HIV care and treatment services, family planning services, and screening for TB, STls, gender based violence, and alcohol and drug abuse. These services will be provided in a variety of settings, at flexible hours, with populations most at risk for HIV. Teams will be based in Temeke. The purpose of this advertisement is to recruit adventurous and highly competent medical officers and nurse counselors, Data clerk, Social economic empowerment officer and community professionals to take on this exciting work.
All positions are one year contract with the option for renewal; candidates residing in the district of implementation are desirable.

Job overview:
Works in collaboration with the other members of the mobile CBHTC+ team (and regional and district authorities) to offer high quality CBHTC+ services (HIV counseling and testing, family planning services, screening and referral for STls, gender-based violence, TB, alcohol and drug abuse, linkages and adherence support for HIV care and treatment) to clients in their assigned region.
Required Qualifications:
· Must be a licensed nurse, nurse/midwife, clinical officer, assistant medical officer or medical officer in good standing.
· Experience working with populations at high risk for HIV, conducting outreach testing, and/or in provider initiated counseling and testing, and family planning services, desirable.
· Experience establishing linkages from HIV testing and counseling to HIV care and treatment services.
· Must be willing to be based in assigned district.
· Must be willing to work off and unusual hours,
· Must be physically fit to assist with set up and break down of services in sites.
· Must demonstrate self-management (i.e. motivation, dealing with pressure, adaptability)
· Must be highly flexible to accept dual roles and extra tasks as assigned by the site coordinator.
· Additional experience with community counseling, mobile HTC, GBV is desirable
Data Clerk (D/C) 1 POST
Work place: - Temeke District.
Key Responsibilities
· To maintaining and updating databases for care and treatment in drop in center (DIC)
· To assist and provide technical assistance to other project’s staffs within the district in collaboration with Program officer
· To implementation and evaluation of monitoring tools and data management
· To ensure that DQA is carried out quarterly according to DQA guidelines and that recommendations following the site DQA visit are implemented
· To ensure timely data entry, cleaning on a routine basis, generation of data queries and routine progress reports
· To collaborate with other team members to prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports on supported program areas
· To develop and respond to queries related to data analysis
· To perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications and Experience
· Diploma/Bachelor’s degree on social works with certified training in Computer Science, IT/HMIS, data management or a related discipline.
· Advanced skills in computer programming and analytical software is an advantage ,
· A background in nursing, health science or a related discipline are an advantage,
· 1+ year’s relevant experience with MS Access application development and use, data analyses with standard software packages and implementing protocols for data quality assurance will be an advantage.
· Strong supervisory and management skills
· Ability to work independently
· Fluent in English & Kiswahili
· Experience working with NGO’s and/or donor-funded programs is an advantage

Social Economic Empowerment Officer (M/F)1 POST

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
· Social economic empowerment officer in collaboration with CHPs, Peer educators, EW’s inPartnership with WEOs, VEOs, Village Chairperson, DSWO and the community Willidentify the eligible empowerment workers Social economic empowerment officer will mobilize formation of groups,
· Social economic empowerment officer will coordinate start up training on WORTHmodel to hired Empowerment workers and other Project officers at CSOs offices, thetraining will be facilitated by structural officers in respective regions using the WORTHtraining manual, through group discussions, presentations, role plays and exercises. Pre andPost Test Assessment will be conducted to evaluate the knowledge level of participants,
· Social economic empowerment officer will coordinate a TOT training on Literacy volunteer’s package and Management committee package for officer and New Empowerment workers.
· Social economic empowerment officer will organize Empowerment workers and officers training on better parenting educationofficers trained during the TOT training with support from Sauti Team-SEEOs will roll outthe training to volunteers from each groupOfficers will roll out the 4 days Management committee training to group leaders 4 fromeach group leaders.
· Social economic empowerment officer will assist EWs to facilitate the implementation of SASA curriculum.
· Officer will conduct weekly WORTH meetings, where Empowerment workers will provide support to groups in number of areas.
· Social economic empowerment officer will facilitate distribution of WORTH material to beneficiaries in WORTH groups,
· Social economic empowerment officer using Sauti developed tools will conduct monthly data collection and reporting of program progress in weekly and monthly basis.
· To ensure close and quality provision of services ASUTA will conductmonthly data quality assurance at delivery and immediate points.
· Conduct quarterly supportive and feedback meetings to the WORTH groups to assessprogress and address the challenges
Qualifications and Experience
· Degree in Sociology, Social Work, Commerce (Marketing), community development andrelated field.
· 3 years’ experience in managing health programs including VLSA, WORTH programs,planning, designing, supervising, and evaluating healthcare programs
· Acknowledged skills in one of or more of the following areas: Forming groups(WORTH), VLSAs, HIV/AIDS , STIs and Family Planning related health servicesExtensive knowledge of the local health systems from the national to the local levels.
· Previous experience and understanding of Gender policies and women’ rights policies ispreferred
· Experience of working in AGYW programs is an Added advantages
· Demonstrated ability in managing teams to achieve health results
· Ability to develop productive working relationships with counterparts and other agenciesand organizations worldwide
· Aware of and sensitive to working in multiple socio-economic settings and with multicultural/behavioural groups
· Proven leadership skills as well as skills in facilitation, team building and coordination
· Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills in English andKiswahili
· Willingness to work overtime for project success
