Assistant Nursing Officer II - (X11) Position Description:
Muhimbili
University of Health and Allied Sciences is inviting applications from suitably
qualified Tanzanians to be considered for employment to fill vacant posts
listed hereunder for MUHAS Academic
Medical Centre (MAMC) at University New Campus of Mloganzilla.
5. Assistant Nursing Officer II - 11 POSTS
Holder of Diploma in Nursing from a recognized Institution. Must be registered by the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Duties and Responsibilities
i. Implements comprehens
ive assessment, develop nursing diagnosis, plan care, implement and evaluate an integrated nursing care .
ii. Administers prescribed treatments and observe any side effects
iii. Maintains personal contact with patients, their relatives and visitors to enhance the patient's quality of life, and the good standing of the hospital
iv. Gives health education to patients and their relatives
v. Practices and works in partnership with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
vi. Accountable for their professional judgment, actions, outcome of care' and practice competently in accordance with licensure, knowledge and experience.
vii. Collaborates with other team players in implementing approved standards of care ( STI,
viii. HIV/AIDS, IMCI, PMTCT and others)
ix. Quantifies and orders equipment and supplies .
x. Follows hospital policy in respect of custody and administration of all drugs (with specific observation to DDA drugs)
xi. Performs any other Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice as assigned by his/ her superior.
