Role overview
The volunteer will be responsible for improving the delivery of quality MNCH services in the region by strengthening the capacity of midwives, health care workers and establishing infrastructure essential for maternal and new born care.
Skills, qualifications and experience required
Qualified registered midwife with at least 5 years’ experience in a busy hospital.
Allowance and accommodation
All volunteers have an allowance paid in local currency. The allowance meets reasonable living expenses in country, but will not be enough to send money home.
VSO works with some of the poorest communities in the world which means accommodation varies and will be basic.
