Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Position Description:

Duties and responsibilities will ensure the suitable individual…
a) Supervises regular data collection through implementing partners and ensure quality of the data by random verifications and validations
b) Records, manages and preserves monitoring and evaluation data in a safe and accessible way
c) Analyses and discusses findings based on regular monitoring data
d) Provides technical support on M&E and evidence-based recommendations to the relevant Project Manager and partners.
e) Ensures that implementation of field activities adheres to organization’s monitoring and evaluation system
f) Supports partners in conducting baseline surveys
g) Participates actively in program planning process and budgeting of the program quality and fundraising unit
h) Supports Project team in developing the performance reports
i) Supports partners in improving learning and sharing mechanisms in their projects
j) Carries other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications and experience

Bachelor’s degree in project management, sociology or related field from a recognized institution; must be computer literate with minimum of 3 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation. Experience of field data collection and report writing will be added advantage.
