 Job Description:
Volunteer – HIV Program

 Agape AIDS Control Programme was established on 24th of January, 2006 as a CBO working to cover Shinyanga Region and later registered as an NGO on 24th June, 2009 by the Ministry of Community Development, Gender and Children and was issued with the Reg. 00NGO/00003233 under the NGOs Act of 2002, 12 (2) Tanzania Laws. AACP is a Non-partisan, Non-Religious and Non-profit Organization geared at promoting human rights and Community Development. In 2009, AACP came to realize that violation of Human Rights in the Community was a Problem. Since then, AGAPE started working on four core programs which are;
(1) HIV/AIDS control and prevention,
 (2) Child and Youth Protection,
(3) Legal Aid Services Provision, and
 (4) Prevention of Gender Based Violence, Child marriages and Early Pregnancies. Volunteer – HIV Program at Agape AIDS Control Programme suppose to effectively deliver the programme results, a Volunteer has a role to play within the team and hereunder is the job description/scope of work

Roles And Responsibilities/Scope Of Work:
 Collecting, analyzing and interpreting health data for HIV/AIDS
 Mobilization and sensitization of community members on HIV/AIDS interventions
 Conduct Field Works, community mobilization, facilitation and trainings activities
 Networking with Government leaders in villages, wards, divisions and District Offices for smooth activities implementation, monitoring and reporting
 Attend all project team meetings and any assigned representation and minutes them
 Assist in the identification and documentation of the best practices, acceptable and workable strategies in addressing HIV/AIDS
 Liaise with community leaders, village leaders and District relevant departments on Health Promotion for them to collaborate and take active part to prevent HIV/AIDS and support People living with HIV/AIDS
 Comply with the Organization policy and adherence to Tanzanian laws and that of our partners
 Develop and share activity and monthly reports to the Project Coordinator
 And any other roles/responsibilities as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor

Key Qualifications
 A nurse midwife with Diploma in nursing and registered with the Nurses Council of Tanzania or AMO/clinical officer with Diploma in clinical medicine with working experience not less than 1 year in Health particular HIV related fields.
 Strong computer skills (Word Processing, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Internet, SPSS), office operations and demonstrated understanding of and experience with HIV/AIDS policy of 2008
 Experience in working with communities especially People living with HIV/AIDS
 Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili
 Flexibility, good interpersonal and networking skills and sensitivity to cultural values;
 Excellent data collection, data analysis and evaluation skills
 Excellent report writing and presentation skills
