LOGISTICIAN POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Roving Camp Logistician
1 Job Purpose
The purpose of this job is to provide efficient and effective support the Nduta
and Mtendeli
Camps logistician in day –today management, distribution, asset
management.
Key Responsibilities:
• You will be involved in the day to day management of the logistics
activities in the two Camps.
Nduta and Mtendeli. This
includes supervision of the warehouse assistants in both Camps.
• Closely working with both Camp logisticians in logistics matters
• Ensuring that the logistics systems in place are working well to monitor the
flow of goods
received, stored,
dispatched and all the supporting documents are updated accordingly.
• Ensuring the good handlings of incoming and outgoing shipments are timely
managed.
• Working with all other program in both Camps to ensure that they are well
supported
• Conduct monthly stock count / reconciliations inventory movements and
balances in both
Camps warehouses and share the logistics and Camp managers.
• Ensure a good handling of documentation and compliances work related to
Logistics
matters in both Camps
• Ensure that supervised staff members are adequately monitored supported to
carry on their
work efficiently.
• Coordinate and provide logistics support to Road, air, land, river operations
• Implement logistics support policy, procedures and methodologies to the
common benefit
of DRC program
• Consolidate the logistics weekly SITREP for both Camps (Stock report. In and
Out,
generators fuel consumption, distribution report,) and to
logistics manager every Friday.
• Ensure that accurate and complete accounting, reporting and internal control
systems in
place are functioning and that all relevant records are
maintained in good order and
up to date
• Other Ad-Hoc duties as assigned
Competencies

in the remote locations
Ability to establish priorities and to plan, coordinate and monitor work- Sound
judgment
in applying technical expertise to resolve a rank of
issues/problems.

Qualifications
Education
High school graduate or above with a qualifications and experience in areas
such as
warehouse management, fleet, distribution, or logistic
operations/management,
supply chain management, etc. Computer literacy (Word, Excel,
Power Point, etc...)
Work Experience
At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in logistics
operations.
Experience in international organization.
Langages
Fluency in spoken and written English
