Logistics and Stock Control Manager( Mafinga) Position
Description:
This
job requires a high level of monitoring, understanding of stock movement and
control systems. This company will have a warehouse and movement of goods day
in and day out. This job requires someone to have full control of the
logistical element of the business as well as.
Roles and Responsibilities
Evaluate suppliers: this involves finding suppliers to deliver goods needed by company. This implies that a good rapport should be maintained with suppliers
Prepare inventory documentation: this involves accurately recording type, quantity, quality, and other features of inventory for a clear understanding of the state of the stocks
Ensure that inventories are constantly up to standards
Perform clerical duties such as answering of calls and messaging
Ensure that whatever merchandise are received meet order specifications
Create purchase plan; ensuring the availability of stocks when needed
Ensure available stocks match customer needs
Maintain daily invoices and shipment records to ascertain the state of all stocks
Responsible for forecasting company’s future stock needs
Oversee the constant flow of stocks in and out of company’s warehouse facility
Document stocks delivery and supervise their movement into operational processing or position
Prepare records used to access tax that is due
Ensure maintenance of optimal levels of stock for availability as the need arises
Set up operation standards for all subordinates to follow
Ensure proper management of aging and excess stocks
Review service levels regularly and reconcile inventories
Recommend operational policies and goals to company’s management
Respond to complaints and queries concerning inventories and products
Prepare and submit inventory control reports to supervisor
Attend to inquiries concerning products and inventories
Carry out inventory control to ensure inventories are at optimal levels
Provide assistance and direction to colleagues and subordinates as required
Report and analyze data and present results to senior managers when necessary
Manage a team of inventory counters
Foster effective and cordial relationships with clients
Issue purchase order to clients
Investigate complaints of customers
Experience Requirements
5 years of experience in stock control and logistics
Experience in programs related to stock control and Logistics
