Job Title: Managing Director
Station: Dar es Salaam
Glasnost Group Security Company (GGS) is
seeking to engage in a managerial position an aggressive individual who will
take the overall command and control of our security firm (GGS), a capable, trustable and reliable candidate
demonstrating the following qualities;

A proactive individual
with high level of integrity.
·
Sound and verifiable
security background with respective experience.
·
Experience in military
and police would be an added advantage.
This position reports to the Executive Chairman
of the firm and given the nature of the job/role requires the candidate to
exhibit the following;
·
Extensive knowledge of
the area with an ability to analyse situations.
·
Ability to work under
pressure and at irregular hours.
·
Ability to efficiently
respond to emergencies.
·
Ability to liaise with
police and other law enforcing agencies.
Job Details
§
Controls
the direction of the company, drives the culture of the business,decides
budgets for the firm and responsible for day-to-day decisions;
§ Drives profitability of the business,
identifies and assess the principal risks of the firm and ensures appropriate
strategies are in place, and that these risks are being monitored and managed;
§ The development and implementation of
the short and long-term strategies and create and refine the Firm’s
vision, keeping in mind the strategy as well as current/future trends;
§ Identify and address opportunities and
challenges, bringing those which are necessary to the attention of the Board
and/or its committees and keep the Board
fully informed on the governance and condition of the GGS and the influencing
internal and external factors;
§ Provide general oversight of all GGS
activities, manage the day-to-day operations, and ensure a smoothly functioning
and efficient Firm and inform the Board and stakeholders about the trends and
activities to facilitate policy making;
§ To ensure the Firm stability through development and
implementation of standards and controls, systems and procedures, and regular
evaluation;
§ Lead by personal example and encourage
all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with all applicable
laws and the Firm’s standards and policies;
§ Ensure the Firm is appropriately
organised and staffed and that staff are performing at an optimal level.
§ Develop a culture and environment that
will help attract, retain, and optimise the most capable staff and ensure a
work environment that recruits, retains, and supports quality staff.
§ Oversee the fiscal activities of the
Firm, including budgeting, reporting, and audit and manage revenue and
expenses, and other financing to
maintain consistent growth of business and ensure revenue growth is achieved
and sustainable to sustain and meet the goals of the strategic plan;
§ Ensure that the Firm conducts its
activities both lawfully and ethically filing of all legal and regulatory
documents and monitor compliance with relevant laws and regulations;
§ Ensure proper channels of
communication exist and are enforced between the employees and the management;
§ Champion the embedment of service
culture across the Firm and adherence to systems, processes and policies of GGS
and prepare all required reports as per the documented processes,
recommendations and develop strategies to improve quality of service delivered.

security professional with a proven track record in excellent security
management, coordinating with planning and organisation skills.

Enthusiastic
and committed approach with a track record of building strong, trusted base
relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
·
A
sound working knowledge of security best practice and legislation affecting the
security role.
·
Strong
management and leadership skills together with excellent communication skills.
·
Sound
judgement and decision making skills, problem solving approach, able to remain
calm under pressure and take control of incidents, pro- active and
self-motivated.
·
Ability
to work as part of team and also have the ability to lead teams.
·
Understanding
financial practices such as cost control and budgeting, demonstrating financial
acumen in all decision making.
·
Must
have the highest level of integrity, vigilant and of sound judgement.
·
Should
be unrelenting in the pursuit of excellence, ensuring to lead by setting the
standards.
Required qualifications / experience
·
A
bachelor degree or Post graduate Diploma in a relevant field with professional
management qualification or security qualifications.
·
A
minimum of seven years of experience in security jobs with at least three years
working in a security managerial role.
·
Working
knowledge of multiple security functions is an added advantage.

Job Title: Security Guards(20)
Station: Dar es Salaam
Duties and responsibilities of a
security guard.
- Observe every person within your
guard area, keep on a constant watch to ensure the safety of property and
people
- Know what to do in case of
emergencies.
- Always be on the alert for
unusual situations and acts of violence, make sure everything is under
control.
- Stop the entry of unauthorized people,
conduct checks at the premises of buildings you protect, ability to react fast in an emergency
and make detailed notes of anything unusual.
- Be in good physical shape, and
always represent yourself in a professional manner.
- Be honest and have dedication to
the job, and always act in the best interest of your employer.
- Maintain knowledge of your
equipment, and
- Make sure your personal equipment
is always working, and armed guards must know how to use their firearm.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education /
Certification / Skills:
·
Secondary
Schools leavers with requisite training.
·
Prior
experience for at least 3 years as a security guard for similar level duties
·
Prior experience as a security/military
employee is an added advantage /preferred
·
Must be Physically fit for the job
requirements, skillful, trustable, ability to work well with others, service
oriented attitude, organized, focused and able to follow in detail given
instructions.
·
The
incumbent will carry-out her/his duties by adhering to the highest standards of
ethical and moral conduct, acts in the best interest of GGS.
