 Health Laboratory Scientist II -(X2) Position Description:

Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences is inviting applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to be considered for employment to fill vacant posts listed hereunder for MUHAS Academic
Medical Centre (MAMC) at University New Campus of Mloganzilla.

8. Health Laboratory ScientisT II - 2 POSTS

(a) Minimum Entry Qualifications
Holder of Bachelor Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or Bachelor of Science in J.-; Health Laboratory Sciences or equivalent qualification in relevant field from a recognized i Institution. Registration with competent professional board is mandatory.

(b) Duties and Responsibility
• Carries out laboratory tests and examinations e.g. Hematology, Parasitology, Microbiology,
• Immunology, Blood Group Serology, Entomology, Clinical Chemistry and Histopathology) and Laboratory Research.
• Implements chemical security policy in the unit
• Conducts laboratory research in order to improve human health.
• Develops guidelines on laboratory activities and research.
• Coordinates and supervising quality control.
• Examines and transferring laboratory samples for further examinations.
• Keeps and maintains laboratory equipment and records.
• Prepares and submits periodical laboratory reports to the Management.
• Performs any other Duties and Responsibilities as assigned by his/her superior.

Certificates from foreign Countries should be verified by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) - {Degree Level} or National Accreditation Council for Technical Education (NACTE) - {Diploma Level} or National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) - {Secondary Education}
