 Health Laboratory Technologist II -(X2) Position Description:

Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences is inviting applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to be considered for employment to fill vacant posts listed hereunder for MUHAS Academic
Medical Centre (MAMC) at University New Campus of Mloganzilla.

9. Health Laboratory Technologist II - 2 POSTS

(a) Minimum Entry Qualifications
Holder of a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences from any recognized Institution.
Must be registered by the Health Laboratory Practitioners Council

Duties and Responsibilities

(i) Assists in receiving, extracting and recording samples for laboratory examinations
(ii) . Assists in preparing laboratory equipment and chemicals for laboratory' tests am examinations.
(iii) Assists in inspecting and storing laboratory reagents, equipments and chemicals
used in laboratory tests and examinations.
(iv) Assists in keeping and maintaining laboratory records.
(v) Assists in maintaining list of laboratory equipment in the unit.
(vi) Carries out laboratory test and examination of samples and recording the results under the supervision of a senior laboratory Technologist.
(vii) Performs any other Duties and Responsibilities as assigned by his/her superior.

Certificates from foreign Countries should be verified by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) - {Degree Level} or National Accreditation Council for Technical Education (NACTE) - {Diploma Level} or National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) - {Secondary Education}
